An attorney-client relationship with CBC is formed only through a written engagement agreement signed by both you and the Firm.

Confidential and Time Sensitive Information

Do not send confidential, privileged, proprietary, or time-sensitive information through the Site unless and until CBC has confirmed in writing that it represents you in the relevant matter. Information submitted before an attorney-client relationship is established may not be treated as confidential or privileged. You remain responsible for protecting filing deadlines, statutes of limitation, notice requirements, and other time-sensitive obligations. Submitting information through the Site does not stop or extend any deadline.

No Guarantee of Results

Descriptions of matters, case summaries, testimonials, awards, professional recognitions, or prior results are provided for informational purposes only. They do not guarantee or predict a similar outcome in any future matter. Every legal matter depends on its own facts, applicable law, available evidence, and other circumstances. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CBC AND ITS MEMBERS, ATTORNEYS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, CONTRACTORS, AND AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR OTHER LOSSES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR ACCESS TO, USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE THE SITE OR ANY LINKED RESOURCE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. If CBC is found liable for a claim arising solely from your use of the Site, CBC’s aggregate liability will not exceed one hundred dollars ($100), to the extent permitted by law.

Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless CBC and its members, attorneys, employees, agents, contractors, and affiliates from third-party claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, losses, costs, and reasonable attorneys’ fees arising from your unlawful use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of another person’s rights. CBC may control the defense of an indemnified claim, and you agree to cooperate reasonably in that defense.

Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. To the extent a dispute relating to the Site is not subject to a different written agreement between you and CBC, you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.

Severability and Waiver

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted and the remaining provisions will remain in effect. CBC’s failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of its right to do so later.

Entire Agreement

These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and CBC concerning your use of the Site, except that a separate written agreement between you and CBC will control to the extent of any conflict regarding the subject matter of that agreement.
