How truck accidents happen

We’ve all seen the aftermath of a serious truck accident along highways, freeways and the Pennsylvania turnpike. Truck accidents fall under that category of a scene so horrible you can’t look away. While the truck often appears none-the-worse off for the crash, we are left to wonder what could possibly have happened to the poor driver and passengers in the smaller car that is often crushed beyond recognition.

Is there always negligence after a workplace accident?

You may recall that in August of 2017, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette carried a story about two workers killed and four others injured due to a toxic gas leak from a pipeline at Bruce Mansfield Power Plant in Beaver County. The deaths and injuries occurred due to a release of hydrogen sulfide (H2S), a gas byproduct of coal burning plants. In this particular case, the pipeline the workers were inspecting was not specifically designed to carry the toxic gas, which had naturally built up in the lines.
