Pittsburgh man flees scene of accident

A Pittsburgh man recently caused a fatal motorcycle accident and fled the scene, telling people at the crash scene that he happened to stumble upon the accident when he was searching for a dog that got loose.

Allegheny County police reported that the man was driving a Ford F-150 pickup truck when he crossed into oncoming traffic during morning hours. The man collided head-on with a motorcycle driven by another man. The accident victim riding the motorcycle died of his injuries at a hospital soon after the crash.

Negligence is almost always involved in what may be a wrongful death case and it is the most serious of all personal injuries. For the motorcycle driver's family, finding wrongful death attorneys that focus on this type of situation is important and necessary.

The driver who drove the truck did not have a license and fled to his family home to ask his wife and mother to take the blame. According to police, when they traced the truck, they found out the truck was registered to the man's mother and wife. His wife called 911 and said she was to blame for the accident. The police said they are looking into options regarding filing charges against her.

The man was arraigned on charges of driving without a license, homicide by vehicle, causing an accident involving injury or death, and other crimes.

A wrongful death case can be very complicated. Aside from the loss of a loved one, there may be the concern of medical expenses prior to the wrongful death and funeral expenses. Those who are legally responsible for a person's death can be held accountable in a court of law by the surviving family through a wrongful death suit. To determine where negligence lies, a legal professional should coordinate a detailed investigation into the accident and then recommend the best course of legal action to take.
