Truck driver injured in truck explosion

Some occupations require the employees to endure long working hours, dangerous environments or high risks. Those employed in jobs that have the potential to be dangerous are usually provided specified training in order to reduce the chances of work accidents. By increasing work safety, the risks of an on-the-job injury are lowered. In addition, the employer will not have a disruption in productivity because they will not have an employee out recovering after a workplace accident.

Following a major truck crash, a truck driver suffered injuries. A tanker truck, that was fully loaded with diesel fuel, overturned and exploded into flames. This occurred on Interstate 81 on an on-ramp to Route 22-322. The damage caused by this accident was very severe. Not only was the truck destroyed, but also the truck driver suffered on-the-job injuries. The investigation of this accident is being conducted, and it has not been determined if the driver was at fault. The injuries were described as being minor, and it was not reported whether the driver suffered any burns.

When a person is injured on the job, it is important that they receive the proper medical care. The injured worker could file for workers' compensation since the injuries occurred while working. This benefit could help cover medical bills, rehabilitation, lost wages and pain and suffering. Financial burdens often follow a work accident, so it is important that an employee is able to take care of those issues.

A work accident can be very traumatic for an employee. Being able to properly recover is important. Not only does the employee need to return to work to make an income, but the employer also needs them to return to work in order to keep productivity in order.
