KEVIN W. LEE: Notice is the concept of informing your employer of an injury that the worker has suffered while at work and detailing the mechanism of injury as well as the body parts and making sure that the employer knows that this was a work injury and not just letting them know that my back is sore or I have problems in my leg. They have to show the connection between whatever happened at work and the physical problems that they're having. Under Pennsylvania law, notice has to be given to the employer of a work injury within 120 days of the injury.
