September 20, 2010 Caroselli Beachler McTiernan & Conboy, LLC is pleased to announce the addition of Attorney Jennifer Modell to the social security disability team. Attorney Modell will take over the duties of Attorney Joanna Papazekos at our Pittsburgh office.
Attorney Papazekos was offered an Administrative Law Judge position with the Social Security Administration and has decided to accept. We are proud that one of our attorneys has been chosen for such a position and wish her well.
Attorney Modell has been helping disabled clients since 2005 and has represented social security clients in hearings before Administrative Law Judges, at the Appeals Council and in Federal District Court. Before focusing on social security cases, she practiced in the areas of criminal defense, immigration and civil rights. In addition, Attorney Modell headed the Rhode Island Disability Law Center's Brain Injury Project and was instrumental in developing legislation to fund services for individuals with traumatic brain injuries.
After graduating with honors from the University of Chicago in 1985, Attorney Modell obtained her law degree at Northwestern University School of Law in 1991. She is licensed to practice in all Pennsylvania State and Federal Courts, New York State Courts and in any Social Security Court throughout the United States. Currently, she is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association Social Security Practitioners Committee and the National Organization of Social Security Representatives (NOSSCR).
We feel that Attorney Modell will be a perfect addition to our roster of experienced attorneys. Caroselli Beachler McTiernan & Conboy, LLC remains committed to helping those who have been injured or disabled navigate our complex legal system. In addition to social security disability cases our attorneys focus on asbestos litigation, medical malpractice, workers compensation, personal injury, bad faith insurance and product liability cases. Our offices are located in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia.
